There was electricity in the air north of Modesto on Wednesday night. No, not a case of Giants Fever. That won't start until Thursday. Actually, it was a lightning strike that lit up the sky early in the evening. This photo, by The Bee's Bart Ah You, was taken from Hammett Road facing north toward Ripon. The cool weather, which has included a few lightning strikes and rain drops, will continue Thursday and Friday before a warming trend will knock temperatures into the 80s for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
