The city of Merced said two UC Merced professors will talk about a new center at the university that examines health issues in the Valley this week on Community Conversations, a public service program on KYOS.
Also on the program are updates on the local Make-A-Wish program and a fundraiser for the Castle Air Museum.
The hour-long show focuses on community, education and government news affecting residents throughout Merced County. It airs on KYOS, 1480 AM, at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Other Community Conversations set to air this week include information on caring for your pet, how Riggs Ambulance is reaching out to the community and how the city of Merced might make a little money from a natural gas well.
The show is hosted by Nathan Quevedo, the public information officer for the Merced County Office of Education and engineered by KYOS. The show is produced by MCOE, the city of Merced Public Information Office, Roger Wood and UC Merced, in association with the county of Merced.
