The Merced Sheriff’s Office issued a reminder that on Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the DEA, along with local law enforcement, will host its first ever "Prescription Drug Take-Back Day” when you can bring in expired or unwanted medication — with no questions asked.
For reasons of convenience and staffing, the sheriff's office said it changed its drop-off location from the main office to the Lowe’s parking lot. Lowe’s will host its national safety fair the same day, and the sheriff’s office will staff a booth where you can drop off your medication.
For questions or further information, go to www.dea.gov and click on the link for Drug Take Back Event. Drop-off locations are at the Merced Sheriff's booth at Lowe’s in Merced at 1750 West Olive Ave. and in Los Banos at 1301 Wes Pacheco Blvd.
