Modesto indie rock musicians and poets are joining for a concert campaign against hunger.
The artists are performing an acoustic "Your Voice" concert on Saturday at the State Theatre. The program is sponsored by Inter-Faith Ministries, a Modesto nonprofit that provides food, clothing and other humanitarian services.
"My whole point is to get the local community to help out in our local community," said concert organizer Chelsea Waller, 24.
Featured are musicians Travis and Taylor Vick, Rose Droll and Regie Ginn, the bands Colour and The Kinzie Affair. magician Brandon Queen and poets Shawn Franco and Saint, who won last year's Ill List invitational poetry slam at the State Theatre.

The stage will be set up like a living room and the tone will be mellow and peaceful, Waller said.
Waller said her goal is to get teens and 20-somethings involved in community service.
"Because our generation is not really a helping generation, we don't really know about all the heartaches that go on in our community," Waller said. "When somebody knows how desperate people are in this community, they'll help out."
Proceeds from the concert will support a lobby effort in Sacramento for the California Hunger Action Coalition's Hunger Action Day in May. IFM will join hundreds of advocates for the hungry at the Capitol.
