DELHI -- Two people suffered major injuries when an all-terrain vehicle drove into the path of a Honda Accord at 11:45 a.m. Monday.
A 17-year-old boy from Ballico was riding the ATV southbound along the east bank of the Hi Line Canal at approximately 15-20 mph when he entered El Capitan Way and struck the Accord driven by Maria Deparra, 36, of Winton, according to the California Highway Patrol. Deparra was traveling approximately 55 mph.
The boy was ejected from the ATV. He was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.
Deparra's car travelled through two fences before hitting a tree. She was transported to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with major injuries, the CHP said.
