Scrambl'z is back.
The Modesto breakfast spot on McHenry Avenue will reopen under the same name, but with a new owner, next week.
First opened in 2005, Scrambl'z had locations in Modesto and later Turlock that both closed abruptly last June because of slow sales.
New owner Bobby Dhillon, a Fremont-based restaurateur, took over the Modesto spot at the beginning of this month and plans to continue the eatery's breakfast fare.

Dhillon did not buy the Turlock location, which remains closed.
Scrambl'z, 1445 McHenry Ave., will serve breakfast and lunch from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. The site, which for 30 years was a Lyon's restaurant, will retain its previous look with some additions to the eclectic inside decor.
Its menu will feature a broad array of breakfast favorites including speciality crepes, pancakes, waffles, and eggs and bacon.
"The concept is it's a fun place to eat and will be the best breakfast place in town," said general manager Gurp Shergill. "It's very family oriented, and there is a lot of stuff to look at (on the walls)."
Owner Dhillon has 18 years of experience in restaurants and owns Maxim's restaurants in Stockton, Tracy and San Jose, and the American Diner in Sunnyvale. This is his first restaurant in Modesto.
Most of the restaurant's 80-some employees have been hired. Shergill said Scrambl'z should be open by the middle of next week.
The restaurant needs to acquire its liquor license before the adjoining bar can open, which Shergill said will take at least another month.
