Occupation: Real Estate Appraiser
My education and qualification are: I have lived in Escalon most of my life and attended the schools here from elementary through high school. I spent some time away for military service and to obtain a B.S. degree from CSU, Humboldt.
As a member of the City Council, and previously as Planning Commissioner, I have strongly supported our slow growth policy through our Growth Ordinance, which provides for Senior and affordable housing. I believe this has helped preserved our small town atmosphere and quality of life. I have also supported a conservative fiscal policy. While the State and many cities are experiencing a financial crisis, the City of Escalon has a balanced budget and a reasonable surplus. I was an advocate to have "Wayside" horns installed at our railroad crossing to greatly reduce the train noise.
As Escalon's representative to the Council of Governments, I have fought to keep our Measure K money for the feasibility study for a grade separation from the railroad. With the cooperation of other cities, I was able to triple the Escalon's Measure K street repair money. I have the experience and am dedicated to the City of Escalon. I would appreciate your vote.
