    Info: The Merced County Library is offering free homework help through Live Homework Help, an online tutoring service from Tutor.com. It's for studentsin kindergarten to 12th grade, as well as students in introductory-level college courses and adult learners. This free service connects students to expert tutors in math, science, social studies, and English via the Internet from the Merced County Library or from their home PC or Mac with a library card.     Where: Coulterville Community Club, Broadway and Cemetery Road

    Info: Coulterville Soap Box Derby racing heats get under way at 10 a.m. down Broadway, with the Old School House serving as the race headquarters. There is space for 26 entries, taken in order of receipt through Thursday. Cash prizes of $100 for first place; $75 for second and $50 for third. There is no entry fee; maximum weight for vehicle and driver is 350 pounds; age cap is 17 and vehicles must be homemade with kids involved.
