What's this world coming to? As a teenager, most people think I only have opinions on either the latest fashions or who's in what band. But my opinion stretches further; what concerns me most is beauty. Not who looks hot in the newest winter fashions, but who puts what limitations on beauty?
I don't think any one person has the right to tell any teenage girl or any woman that in order to be beautiful she has to wear a size zero and weigh 100 pounds. The average size for a woman or girl is 13, which means she's probably not a mere 100 pounds. Yet, when I pick up a magazine, it tells me how to lose weight, even though I'm happy with how I look. Today's fashion crosses a new line with its obsession on trying to push people into unhealthy weights for even the most common body types.
