Have you ever been convicted or charged with a crime other than a minor traffic violation? No Have you or a business you owned or had principal interest in ever filed bankruptcy? No

What is the primary reason you are running for this office? 1. To improve and strengthen existing programs in RUSD. 2. To bring innovative thinking to current dilemmas. 3. To create new educational alternatives within RUSD to meet the needs of the community. To bring a new perspective to the RUSD School Board that will value the opinions of all stakeholders in the Riverbank Unified School District. I want to see more respect shown to the parents, students & employees of RUSD when they raise questions or concerns to the school board or to the RUSD’s administration.

What will your single most important priority be if you get elected? To build a culture of respect, service and communication within the Riverbank School District and between the school district and the greater community of Riverbank (including the City of Riverbank), and to build the new gymnasium & the new elementary school.

What sets you apart from the other candidates? I am a teacher who has lived and taught in urban and rural environments. I am the newest resident of Riverbank to be running for school board. I embrace the Riverbank of today with its cultural and linguistic diversity, and I have chosen to invest my time and energy in improving the service and education that RUSD provides the community of Riverbank. I call for a climate of “respect for all” within Riverbank Unified School District.
