What is the primary reason you are running for this office? I believe we are making great strides at Denair Schools. The work is not finished. I believe my unique perspective is a necessary one for this success to continue. I am proud to represent the community of Denair. I want the surrounding communities to know what great teachers, staff and students we have in Denair.

What will your single most important priority be if you get elected? I believe the reputation of our high school needs to advanced. We consistently outscore some of the surrounding schools on state tests. We also send many students to major universities. Our schools prepare students to do very well in university studies and for life. We have several ROP classes and an AG Business Academy which is unique to our area. We need to do a better job at DUSD of broadcasting our success stories. What sets you apart from the other candidates? Real life classroom experience sets me apart from all other candidates. I daily see life in the classroom and on multiple school sites. I am also involved with the Keyes Teachers Assoc. I receive a lot of information from teachers organizations. CA. School Board Assoc, state education officials. This forces me to “find the trurth” which is often somewhere in the middle as often information is not in agreement. At times they can be in agreement, as when the governor attacked education with his initiatives a couple of years back. I work to synthesize information and work in the best interests of students.
