I attended schools in Denair and graduated from Denair High School and attended Modesto Junior College where I was studying business. Have you served in the military? If so, please list branch and rank attained.

What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

To influence the education of the students, decision making, to listen, to work with theTeachers, classified staff, administration, and the school board, in the direction that the students education will be directed, covering all aspects possible.

What will your single most important priority be if you get elected?

To be committed to the students of Ceres Schools to listen to them, making sure they received the best education that is possible as they are the leaders of tomorrow. What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I have lived in Ceres since 1960. My husband came home from the service and we purchased the house that we raised our sons in and I continue to live there. My husband went to Ceres Schools and graduated from Ceres High School. Our boys went to Ceres Schools, as have theirchildren, with 2 graduating from Ceres High School and 2 still in the school program. One a 10thgrader at Ceres High and the other a 8th grader at Mae Hensley Jr. High.

I started work for Ceres schools and worked there for 32 years before retiring, as a secretary. While employed for Ceres Unified School District , I served on many committees, including the following: curriculum development, budget, advisory committee, insurance, safety issues,Negotiations for Ceres classified Ch. 140, School Site Council, to name a few.

After retirement I served on the Measure J committee as the manager of the Measure J office toPass the bond to build the new and lovely “CENTRAL VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL” ,

I am committed to the students their issues/concerns, to the education and safety of our children/ students.

I want our children/students in Ceres Unified School District to be the best they can be. I want them to feel safe when they enter the school grounds/campus to begin their activities at school. I want our children/students and parents to remember that if elected I will be open at all times to meet with them, as well as the employees of Ceres Unified School District

I will ask the tough questions and I am not afraid to voice my opinion.
