Metal firm recognized for superior work

Innovative Structures Inc. of Salida was recently recognized for superior work in the metal building industry by Metal Construction News, a national publication that serves industry.

In the Metal Construction News published 2007 rankings, Innovative was ranked 32nd in two categories: the top 100 metal builders based on tonnage of steel purchased for metal buildings, and the top 50 metal builders based on the square footage (floor space).

"We are committed to our continued growth in the metal building industry and to bringing new, creative and flexible building designs to our clients," said James R. Daniels, president of Innovative Structures.

The publication has recognized the builder as being among the top 50 leaders in the industry for the past five years.


Ab'Rose School of Dance in Waterford announced the hiring of two dance instructors, Jamie Bernal and Shannon Jones.

Bernal, 20, has studied dance for 14 years. She is a Modesto Junior College student and plans to attend San Jose State as a dance major. She is beginning her second season with the Ab'Rose staff, teaching ballet, pointe, jazz and tap.

Jones, 21, has been a dance student for 14 years. She won awards on gold and platinum Showstopper Company com- petition teams, and was named the Tremaine Dancer of the Year in 2000. Jones, a student at California State University, Stanislaus, will be teaching pre- dance, beginning ballet, jazz, and tap at Ab'Rose.


Enterprise Rent-A-Car has named Praneel Kumar car sales account executive for its Modesto office. Kumar will be responsible for the sales of used vehicles at Enterprise referral locations. He will be reporting to Scott Swanson, area car sales manager. Kumar started with Enterprise in May 2006 as a management trainee in Modesto.
