When buying caulk for small jobs or use in tight spaces (such as around bathtubs and sinks), choose caulk in toothpaste-type tubes instead of regular caulking-gun cartridges. Tubes usually contain about half as much caulk as cartridges and are much easier to handle, especially for amateur caulkers. Less unused caulk is wasted.
