Three-car crash in Riverbank leads to major injuries
A three-vehicle crash in front of Riverbank High School Thursday morning left two people injured.
The accident was reported about 11:25 a.m. at Patterson and Claus roads. According to Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Sgt. Terrance Shadel, two people were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Shadel gave this account: A truck was stopped at a red light with a car behind it. A third vehicle approached from behind and failed to stop, hitting the car and pushing it into the truck.
Shadel did not have information on the identities of those involved, but said they were all adults and none were students at the school.
