Support the nonprofit State Theatre and enjoy food and film at its new Trattoria fundraiser. Billed as “A Fete for Foodies & Film Lovers,” the event will feature food, wine and cocktails. The film “Trattoria,” an independent comedy about a chef trying to run a San Francisco restaurant, will screen, and its director, Jason Wolos, will be be on hand for a Q&A after the show. Modesto chef John Surla’s band, the Jam Session, will play.

Bay Area native Alex Ramon brings his #NewMagic show to the Gallo Center for the Arts. Ramon has toured the globe as the ringmaster for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and the star of Disney LIVE Mickey’s Magic Show. He was the second-youngest ringmaster and first magician in the position for Ringling Bros.

Summer Bash Car Show
Roll into the 24th annual Summer Bash Car Show at the Fruit Yard. All makes, models and years of cars are welcome to take part in the event, which will include a poker walk, coloring contest, vendors, food and music by DJ Gene Adams. Proceeds from the show will benefit Shriners, Soroptimists and Community Hospice.
