LAS VEGAS -- A trial date has been set for the parents of a 4-year-old boy who authorities have said died after being left in a vehicle for 17 hours in June 2008.

Stanley Rimer and Colleen Rimer are charged with second-degree murder and several counts of child abuse, neglect and endangerment.

On Monday a trial was scheduled to start Nov. 15, 2010. Prosecutors say it should last about two weeks.

The Rimers' son, Jason Rimer, was found dead June 9, 2008, after authorities say he was left in the family's SUV for 17 hours. The coroner's office ruled the child died of environmental heat stress.

Several charges against the parents stem from conditions related to their other children.

A motion to dismiss the case will be heard Jan. 6.
