ROSEVILLE Ceres High senior McKenzy Harden defeated Ponderosa's Chilean foreign exchange student Francisca Rojas 6-1, 6-2 and Yuba City's Hannah Poukish 6-4, 6-2 Thursday during the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 2 Singles Championships at the Johnson Ranch Racquet Club.
Harden, who has advanced to the semifinals for the first time, will meet defending section champion and No. 1 seed Karolina Kecki of Granite Bay today at noon.
SONORA 3, UNION MINE 2 Hannah Blume totaled 24 kills as the Wildcats rallied from behind to reach the Division 3 semifinals by defeating Union Mine 27-29, 25-23, 25-10, 21-25, 15-10.
