Gabrielle Mantellato dominated Wednesday, scoring seven goals to lead Johansen High past St. Mary's 10-5 in the Sac-Joaquin Section water polo playoffs and into a Friday semifinal vs. Davis of Yolo at noon at Tokay High in Lodi.

Gabrielle scored three goals in the first quarter to give the Vikings a 3-2 lead. Taylor Hanson scored twice for Johansen (30-3), which scored three straight goals in the third quarter for a 9-4 lead.

Davis beat Johansen 8-5 earlier this season.

The Stanislaus District's other teams struggled in their quarterfinals: Oakdale's boys lost 18-3 to St. Mary's and Turlock's girls fell 19-0 to Davis-Yolo.
