RANCHO CUCAMONGA — The Modesto Nuts blew a 6-0 lead Thursday night and fell to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 7-6 Thursday night on Hector Estrella's run-scoring single.

The Nuts wasted home runs by Jason Van Kooten, Matt Repec and Jeffrey Cunningham to drop two of three games at the Epicenter. Relief pitcher Xavier Cedeno gave up a leadoff double in the 11th to Brian Walker, leading to Estrella's game-winning hit.

The Nuts still led 6-2 until Rancho Cucamonga, fueled by two Modesto errors, rallied to tie in the eighth. The Quakes drew even on Walker's bases-loaded walk off Austin Chambliss.

Modesto returns to Thurman Field to face the Stockton Ports tonight to begin a six-game homestand.
