SACRAMENTO The unbeaten Sierra Timberwolves won one for their coach Thursday. Goalkeeper Marian Fallon stopped the final penalty kick to clinch the Timbervoles' emotional win over West Campus, vaulting Sierra into the Sac-Joaquin Section IV final.
Sierra (27-0-1), the Valley Oak League champion, won on penalty kicks 6-5 after the teams played to a 1-1 tie. Nicole Vanni, Hannah Obanni, Lacey Vaughn, Mikayla Scott, Jaime Hoffman and Melissa Bennett connected on their PKs for the Timberwolves.
Coach Manuel Pires, who got his 300th career victory Tuesday, attended a rosary for his father after the end of the West game.
The Warriors (15-2-2), who had eliminated Sierra from the playoffs the last two years, took a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute. Sierra answered in the 55th when Vanni turned on a miss and scored.
Sierra's Fallon finished with nine saves. Sierra meets Whitney, a 2-0 victor over Sonora in the semifinals, Saturday at Lincoln.
RIPON 2, HILMAR 0, at Hilmar Second-half goals by Renae McFadden and Meredith Perkins were the difference as the Indians (23-1-1) exacted two year's worth of revenge on the Yellowjackets (16-5-6). Ripon, which lost to Hilmar in the 2007 Division V title game, will face Central Catholic in Saturday's final. They have not met this season.
In the second half, Hilmar's defense allowed a corner kick to bounce in the box and an unmarked McFadden headed the loose ball into the net. Perkins made it 2-0 in the 54th minute when she was sprung free with a through-ball. Goalkeeper Riley Fielder got a piece of the shot, but not enough to keep it from trickling across the net.

Aniss-Morales beat Josh Ruben-Hyung Phuasalit 6-2, 6-1 in the first round.
