Duo helped push the Spartans record-setting boys team to a second-place finish at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I Masters Meet, earning a berth in the CIF State Championships. Also led Davis to the Modesto Metro Conference championship. Two of their runners -- Roberto Rosas and Chris Izquierdo -- ran fast enough to qualify for state as individuals.
