The Modesto Area Aquatics Club hosted a sanctioned U.S. Masters Swimming meet Saturday at the Modesto Junior College complex. About 150 swimmers from all over, including Visalia, Sacramento and the Bay Area, were on hand to participate. It was the first short course meters meet of the Pacific Masters season. At top, Richard Todd, 66, of Groveland broke his record of 1:20.71 and swam 1:18:66 in the 100-meter short course breaststroke.
