MIAMI -- The feud between Jason Taylor and Bill Parcells intensified Wednesday, making it likely the six-time Pro Bowl defensive end has played his last game for the Miami Dolphins.

Coach Tony Sparano said Taylor isn't expected to take part in any team activities through training camp.

The revelation came less than 24 hours after Taylor finished second to Kristi Yamaguchi in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars" in Los Angeles.

For weeks the new Dolphins regime, led by Parcells, has fumed while Taylor spent his offseason focused on his budding Hollywood career over being in South Florida working out with teammates. Only Taylor was missing at the team's voluntary team practice Wednesday.

Soccer

Manchester United beat Chelsea 6-5 in a rain-soaked penalty shootout to win the European Champions League title in Moscow following a 1-1 tie. In the first final between two English teams, Edwin van der Sar batted away Nicolas Anelka's drive on the 14th kick to give Manchester United its third Champions League title. Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the 26th minute for Man U, his 42nd goal this season. Frank Lampard tied it in the 45th at Luzhniki Stadium. ...

Danny Dichio scored in the seventh minute and host Toronto FC held on to extend its MLS unbeaten streak to six games, beating D.C. United 1-0.

Motor Sports

Humpy Wheeler, the "P.T. Barnum" of NASCAR promotions, will retire and step down as president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway. This weekend's Coca-Cola 600 in Concord, N.C., will be Wheeler's last race for Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Doping

An admitted steroids dealer testified in San Francisco that he set up Marion Jones with a three-drug cocktail of banned substances to boost her bid to win five medals at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. Angel "Memo" Heredia said track coach Trevor Graham asked him to overnight mail the oxygen-boosting EPO, growth hormone and insulin for Jones' use. Graham is on trial after pleading not guilty to three charges of lying to federal agents about his relationship with Heredia.

Heredia testified for the second day at Graham's trial that, at the coach's behest, he also sold banned drugs to Olympic gold-medal sprinters Antonio Pettigrew, Jerome Young, Tim Montgomery and Dennis Mitchell.

Gymnastics

Four years after winning his last national title, Paul Hamm is a heavy favorite to pick up another when the U.S. gymnastics championships begin tonight in Houston. Never mind that he took 2½ years off after winning the gold medal at the Athens Olympics. He's routed the competition everywhere he's gone this year.

Basketball

The NCAA Women's Final Four returns to St. Louis next year -- April 5 and 7 at Scottrade Center -- and ticket applications are available online. All-session tickets costing $162 will be good for both games. Ticket applications are available at www.ncaa.com through May 31. Applications also are available for the men's Final Four on April 4 and 6 in Detroit. ...

Tennis

The American doubles team of Wayne Odesnik and Bobby Reynolds defeated Lucas Arnold and Sebastian Prieto of Argentina 6-3, 6-7 (5), 10-7 at the World Team Cup in Duesseldorf, Germany. The Americans have four wins in six matches in the Red Group, and the winner of each group will meet in Saturday's final.
