KATIE DRUEEN Modesto senior
One of the district's most consistent runners -- and part of a talent-laden MMC -- Drueen finished fourth in the conference and 13th in the section Division I championships with a time of 20:27.
CRYSTAL ESPARZA Beyer senior
The MMC's MVP, Esparza captured the conference title with a time of 18:33 and finished fifth in the section Division I race. Esparza opened the season by winning the Delta King Invitational.
AMANDA INNES Davis junior
After finishing second (19:24) and leading the Spartans to the team title at the MMC meet, Innes placed eighth in the section Division I race -- fourth among all juniors -- to earn her trip to the State Meet.
KATIE O'CONNOR Bret Harte sophomore
After leading the Bullfrogs to the MLL title, O'Connor won the section Division IV race by covering the 3.1-mile course in 19:56. She finished 18th at the State Meet in 19:25, fifth best among sophomores.
THERESA SIANEZ East Union senior
Sianez set a goal of reaching the State Meet, and improved during the season to reach it. Her work ethic made her the VOL's top runner, then she was 13th at sub-sections (20:42) and 10th in the section final (20:36).
STEPHANIE URIOSTEGUI Atwater sophomore
She won the Stanford and North Tahoe invitationals, then won the CCC title in 17:23, missing the Donnelly Park course record by a second. She was fourth in the section Division II final, but injuries kept her out of the State Meet.
