MACKENZIE COOK
Modesto sophomore
An example of how Modesto reloads while most programs rebuild, Cook was dominant at No. 2 singles. She was second in the MMC tournament, losing only to Player of the Year Katie Eng, her teammate.
HEATHER COTTER
Pitman senior
The three-time CCC MVP, and an All-District repeater, Cotter rolled through conference matches and was unbeaten until losing in the second round of the Division I section tournament.
McKENZY HARDEN
Ceres sophomore
After posting a 33-0 record in the regular season and being named the VOL MVP after taking the singles title, Harden won her Division II section opener before falling to the eventual champion.
SYNCLAIR WALDRON & KATELYNN FORNEY
Modesto
Waldren (a freshman) and Forney (junior) were the MMC's dominant doubles team, rolling through conference matches without being challenged and capturing the conference tournament.
MONICA DUARTE & LAUREN LAVELLE
Turlock
The juniors were unchallenged in the conference, going 11-0 against CCC foes and losing only two sets in 20 regular-season matches. The CCC-champion Bulldogs return 19 of their 20 players next season.
VEREK VISARAGA
Turlock coach
In his final year at Turlock -- he's off to Cal State Stanislaus to launch its tennis program -- Visaraga led the Bulldogs to the CCC title and the Division I tournament, where they lost to eventual champ St. Francis.
