BOYS

JOSH DAY Pitman senior

The talented 2-meter player led a second-half resurgence that sent the Pride to the playoffs. He led the team in goals (112), steals (56) and was an all-Sac-Joaquin Section performer. He was the CCC MVP.

CHRIS GALLARDO Modesto junior

The all-MMC pick was the key to the Panthers' second-place finish and trip to the section quarterfinals. Modesto beat Vintage in the first round, the third consecutive year the Panthers won a playoff match.

STEVE GIAHOS Johansen senior

Runner-up for Player of the Year, Giahos was a three-year starter in the goal who allowed just 3.44 goals per match as a senior -- a school record. He also was an all-Northern California selection.

STEVE SOLARIO Johansen senior

One of four Vikings named to the all-Stanislaus District squad, Solario's ability to score when foes collapsed on the 2-meter man and provide key defensive stops helped Johansen reach the section semifinals.

SEAN TOWERS Johansen senior

The 2-meter player was the district's second-best field player, scoring 92 goals to boost his career total to 244. An all-NorCal pick, he was one of four three-year starters on the Vikings.

ZAC YOUNG Turlock junior

The all-section performer led the 'Dogs with 48 steals and was second with 54 goals from the 2-meter spot. Young led the surprising Bulldogs to the CCC crown and the section quarterfinals.

STEVE FEAVER Turlock coach

Feaver celebrated his 12th CCC title in 35 years at Turlock, as the 'Dogs went 9-3 in conference and 18-11 overall. His career record at Turlock is 667-326, a .671 percentage, and he's won 71 percent of his conference matches.
