CSU STANISLAUS BASKETBALL YOUTH CAMPS Cal State Stanislaus Warriors basketball will host camp starting June 9-12, 9 a.m.-noon, and June 23-26, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The camp for boys ages 7-17 will emphasize fundamentals. Campers will be placed in age/skill appropriate groups. Proper shooting techniques as well as footwork will be highlighted, including individual and team skills. BOWLING BENEFIT McHenry Bowl’s 14th annual Benefit Bowl to aid Habitat for Humanity, Stanislaus, May 17, noon-6 p.m. Three times available – noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. Teams can be up to four people and each member must collect a minimum of $50 in pledges. BAD TO THE BONZ Bad to the Bonz Boxing Gym is having tryouts for its spring program as well as providing adult and youth classes. There also are clinics for coaches that will be given by professional coach Tony Avila, former coach of the Modesto PAL boxing club and now owner of Bad to the Bonz. The spring special for youth is $175 for two months. The gym encourages parents to work out for free alongside their children. The gym also offers kickboxing training by coach Gene Fields of Team Voodoo. Free classes on Saturdays, 10 a.m.-noon. THREE MJC SUMMER CAMPS The Modesto Junior College football program will hold fundamental camps this summer at the school. The “Hitman” camp for linebackers and defensive backs is June 30-July 1, from 6-8 p.m. The “Trench Warrior” camp for offensive and defensive linemen is July 7-8, from 6-8 p.m. Both camps are $40 and pre-enrolled campers will receive a T-shirt. The three-day camp for quarterbacks and wide receivers is June 5-7 and costs $125. SPORTS AND FITNESS CAMP Monte Vista Chapel and Calvary Baptist Church of Turlock are co-sponsoring a sports and fitness camp for boys and girls ages 9-13 or in grades 4-8. The camp will be June 16-20, Monday through Friday from noon-5:30 p.m. and July 14-18 from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The cost is $6/day or $30/week. HUGHSON SOCCER LEAGUE Hughson United Soccer League 2014 fall league registration Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and May 31 from 9 a.m.-noon.
