Teresa Earnhardt visited Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday, appearing briefly at a news conference announcing that Dale Earnhardt Inc. had signed a multiyear deal to remain as a “key partner” with Chevrolet in the Cup Series.
“Chevrolet has been a vital part of Dale Earnhardt Inc. since its inception,” said Earnhardt, who departed without taking questions, as has been her practice.
“Chevrolet's commitment to racing is paralleled by no other in our sport. Its commitment to its teams is second to none and its success on the track speaks for itself.”
Team general manager John Story said the deal has been done for several months and the announcement has been waiting on DEI to finalize its plans to run four teams.
