Flushing, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt has been activated from the 7-day concussion disabled list and will start Saturday's game against the New York Mets.
Belt, out since July 19 after being struck in the face by a throw during batting practice prior to a game at Miami, will bat sixth and play first base in Saturday's tilt.
The 26-year-old previously missed nearly two months with a fractured left thumb he sustained in early May, returning to action on July 4.
In 46 games this season, Belt has swatted 10 homers and knocked in 23 runs while hitting .242.
