Thousands of Modesto youth soccer players finally have a home of their own. The City Council voted 7-0 on Tuesday to approve an agreement between the city and the Modesto Youth Soccer Association that calls for the MYSA to operate the soccer complex at the new Mary Grogan Community Park.

The Golden Age Bears Fundraising Tournament held at McHenry was a winner for Paul Morelli, Cat Eastman and the local vets. Morelli topped the men's prize list with his 761 series. David Castro finished second (757), followed by Mark Downing (698). Cat Eastman was the lead for the women with a 735 set. Betty Plant (728) placed second. Third place was Venessa Duenas (720).
