Enochs defeats Downey to win baseball tournament

Enochs High School beat Downey 7-4 in the championship game of the Lee Hampson Summer Baseball Classic on Sunday, the Eagles' second tournament victory in a row.

Brian Dix went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to spark the Enochs offense.

Reliever Brandon Warder picked up the win, Ty Galloway got the save.

Enochs earned its way into the title game with a 9-1 win over Los Banos.

Downey earned a spot in the championship with a come-from-behind 10-9 victory over Los Gatos.

The Knights trailed 9-1 before rallying for six runs in the fifth inning and three more in the bottom of the sixth.
