Football season remains six weeks away for most players in the Stanislaus District, but a group of recently graduated seniors are donning pads this week and will be hitting in preparation for Friday's 18th Small Schools All-Star Game at Waterford High.

The event pits players from primarily Stanislaus, Merced and Mariposa counties vs. kids from the foothills and San Joaquin County. It kicks off at 7 p.m.
