High School Stars of the Week (2/13/14)

Shea Williams, Sr., Mariposa girls basketball – The 5-foot-8 guard/forward finds herself in Stars of the Week for a second consecutive week. Williams had a pair of big games, totaling 31 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and five steals in a 50-41 win over Le Grand on Friday. She came back Monday with 27 points, 15 boards and nine assists in a 61-51 victory over Waterford.

Katelyn Dauth, Sr., Tioga girls basketball – Dauth, who plays guard, forward and center, had 27 points and 25 rebounds in a 41-34 win over Venture Academy on Feb. 6. Four days later, in a 42-20 over Mountain Oaks, Dauth had an even bigger performance with a triple-double – 25 points, 17 rebounds, 11 blocks, eight assists and four steals.

Rolaun Dunham, Sr., Riverbank boys basketball – The 6-foot-2 guard had 24 points, 14 rebounds and five assists in a 66-56 win last week against Ripon, then came back with 24 points – including nine in a crucial 11-0 Bruins run to start the second half. He’ll be tested this week in a Trans-Valley League showdown on Friday against powerful Modesto Christian.

Travis Vander Molen, Soph., Ripon Christian boys basketball – The 6-foot-2 guard, who leads the team with 13.4 points per game, finished with 19 points and five rebounds in a 53-34 win over Denair, then had 23 points, six rebounds and four steals in a 62-44 win over Le Grand.
