PARENTS: Thomas and Jeannette Bryant

HOMETOWN/HIGH SCHOOL: Modesto/Beyer High

ON HIS WEEK: "We had guys on first and second and Coach (Bo Aiello) told me we needed a big hit. I wanted to hit a hard line drive somewhere in the outfield. I was trying to pull the ball down the right-field line. Somehow I got under it. It's the first one I ever hit where I was sure it was gone right away."

ON THE PLAYOFFS: "We're going to have to take it game by game, put all our effort into each game and win them one inning at a time."

FAVORITE ATHLETE: "I'd have to say Derek Jeter. I think he's amazing. He makes outstanding plays and is a great team player."

WALK-UP MUSIC: "Mine is 'Headstrong' by Trapt. I thought it sounded good. It gets me a little pumped up for an at-bat."

PREGAME ROUTINE: "None at all. I just go out there and play. I say a quick prayer before I go out."

FAVORITE BASEBALL MEMORY: "The home run ranks up there pretty high. My favorite one might have been two years ago. I was playing in a tournament in Idaho with the Beyer summer ball team and I hit a grand slam in the first inning."
