The CSU Stanislaus women’s soccer team, led by three-time All-American Karenee Demery, opens its season Thursday with a home game against Simon Fraser.

The Warriors were ranked as high as sixth in the nation last season while posting a 15-4 record, but were left out of the NCAA Tournament field after dropping their final game of the regular season, then falling in the first round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association tournament.

Demery enters her senior season with 54 career goals, 22 short of the conference record. Kickoff against the Clan is set for 7 p.m.
