It was just a camp scrimmage, but Merced's Karenee Demerey found the net as the United States' under-23 national team beat the under-20 squad 5-0 in Carson on Wednesday. "That's a pretty good U23 team," new U.S. U20 Women's National Team head coach Michelle French said after the game. Demerey, a two-time All-American at Cal State Stanislaus, got an assist from Morgan Marlborough and was one of four players to score for the under-23 squad. Demery was invited to train with the team at its national camp, which concludes Saturday at The Home Depot Center in Carson.
