So long, losing streak. Hello, Mountain West Conference football title?
Fresno State ended a four-year losing streak to Nevada on Saturday and remained tied for first in the Mountain West standings as the defense wreaked havoc all night and scored three touchdowns for a crucial 52-36 victory at Mackay Stadium.
Fresno State (8-3, 6-1) simply needs to win its regular-season finale against Air Force (5-5, 4-2) on Nov. 24 to capture at least a share of the Mountain West title in coach Tim DeRuyter's first season.
