The Modesto Nuts rallied for six runs in the fourth inning Saturday to knock off the host Visalia Oaks 8-4.
Cole Garner opened the fourth with a double to left and recorded the Nuts' final hit in the inning with single to center. In between, Michael McKenry, Matt Repec and Victor Ferrante had RBI singles, and Jason Van Kooten had a two-RBI single.
McKenry, who had three RBIs, hit a two-run home run in the seventh to close Modesto's scoring.
Nuts starter, knuckleballer Simon Ferrer (2-7), allowed two runs over 6 innings to record the win. He had four strikeouts and three walks.
Modesto, which opened its eight-game road trip by getting swept in a four-game series at San Jose, has won the first two games of the four-game series in Visalia.
The Nuts have scored 14 runs in the two games in Visalia after totaling only three in the four games in San Jose.
