MANTECA -- It'll be Escalon High vs. host Manteca in the championship game of the Walker Vick Baseball Tournament today at approximately 3 p.m.
Escalon's Jimmy Zepeda tossed a one-hitter in a 3-2 victory over Davis, while Manteca drubbed North Valleys of Reno 13-2.
MANTECA 13, NORTH VALLEY 2 -- Ricky Acosta scattered two hits over six innings as the Buffaloes (3-3-1) rolled. Acosta also lined a triple. Teammates Kevin Allen (two hits, two RBIs) and Kevin Miller (two hits) also had big days at the plate.
ESCALON 3, DAVIS 2 -- Zepeda tossed a one-hitter, striking out eight, as the Cougars (5-1) handed the Spartans (4-1) their first loss. Escalon scored the winning run in the top of the seventh, when Spencer Franceshetti singled in Nick Largent from third base.
ENOCHS 13, NORTH VALLEY 6, at Manteca -- J.T. Boles and Kevin Miller each drove in two runs as the Eagles (2-4) stopped North Valley.
The Enochs bats pounded out 13 hits.
SONORA 4, PITMAN 3 -- Travis Workman tripled and drove in two runs in a four-run fifth as the Wildcats (5-1) advanced to the tourney championship.
TURLOCK 11, MODESTO 1 -- Jared Alldrin drove in three runs and Jared Serpa had two RBIs as the Bulldogs topped the Panthers. Turlock plays Johansen for fifth place today at 10:30 a.m. at Turlock High, while Modesto faces off against Lodi for seventh at 10:30 at Pitman.
BIG VALLEY CHRISTIAN 10, WOODLAND CHRISTIAN 0, at Modesto -- Andrew Wright, a freshman making his first high school start, tossed a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in the Lions' non-league victory over the Cardinals (0-4).
DENAIR 16, RIVERBANK 4, at Denair -- Dylan Warner and Kevin Chance both homered, driving in a combined nine runs, as the Coyotes (3-0) rolled.
TURLOCK CHRISTIAN 3, CHAVEZ 1, at Stockton -- Trevor Starn threw four scoreless innings as the Division VI Eagles (4-0) got past the Division I Titans.
RIPON CHRISTIAN 5, WATERFORD 2, at Waterford -- Senior pitcher Cody Prins struck out seven batters as the Knights (2-5) beat the Wildcats (3-3).
CENTRAL VALLEY 5, DOWNEY 1, at Ceres -- Brian Creek drove in two runs without an official at-bat, he squeezed in a run and had a sacrifice fly, as the Hawks (3-3) beat the Knights (0-3-2).
CLOVIS 5, BEYER 3, at Clovis -- The Patriots (3-4) couldn't hold on to a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning in the loss to the host Cougars in the Coca-Cola Classic. Beyer finished third in pool play, and faces Clovis East today at 2 p.m.

HILMAR 2, RIPON 0 -- Noelle Silveira and Blake Lopes scored goals in a rematch of last year's Sac-Joaquin Section Division V championship game.
RIPON 3, JOHANSEN 1 -- Meredith Perkins, Lauren Goeppert and Kallie Jacobs all scored goals for the Indians (4-2-1). Perkins added an assist.
SIERRA 1, CENTRAL CATHOLIC 0, at Manteca -- Michaela Scott scored the game's lone goal as the host Timberwolves (7-0-2) stopped the Raiders in the Vern Gephart Tournament at Sierra.
SIERRA 3, PITMAN 1, at Manteca -- Michaela Scott scored two goals, leading the Timberwolves past the Pride and into today's semifinal match against Chico at 1:30 p.m. at Sierra High School.
EAST UNION 2, CASA ROBLE 1 (12), at Sacramento -- Erin Arevalo, The Bee's 2007 softball player of the year, set a personal record with 26 strikeouts in the Lancers' 12-inning victory over the Rams. In the nightcap against St. Francis of Sacramento, Arevalo struck out 16 in a 1-0 loss.
TURLOCK 3, CALAVERAS 2, at Turlock -- The Bulldogs scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Redskins.
HILMAR 8, RIVERBANK 3, at Hilmar -- Courtney Ramos scattered two hits and scored two runs as the Yellowjackets (3-2) beat the Bruins.
ESCALON 3, PLACER 0, at Jackson -- Freshman Caitlin Brooks tossed a perfect game, striking out 13, as the Cougars (5-3) shut out the Hillgals.
CERES 64, WESTON RANCH 40, at Ceres -- Four Bulldogs swimmers -- Anthony Chavez, Aaron Torres, Vincent Wester and Aaron Cunningham -- were double winners.
TURLOCK 107, LOS BANOS 73, at Turlock -- Glen Cramer (50 and 100 freestyle) and Eric Bonander (200 and 500 freestyle) each won two events.
TURLOCK 86, LOS BANOS 84, at Turlock -- Stevie Wills and Erin Callahan were double winners as the Bulldogs (2-0) got past the Tigers.
CERES 123, WESTON RANCH 39, at Ceres -- The Bulldogs (1-0) won every event, with Kelly Yoder with the victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.
PITMAN 133, BUHACH COLONY 37, at Atwater -- Stephanie Young, Haylie Selby, Megan Bohlender and Nicole Scudder were all doubles winners as the Pride (2-0) rolled past the Thunder (0-2).
