The Mustangs defeated Modesto 58-37 in the championship game of the San Jose City Tournament.
Pirates coach Paul Brogan said his team couldn't make any shots from the field or the foul line, where they went 13 for 29.
Marvin Jefferson was the only player in double figure (11 points) for Modesto (2-1), which made just 10 field goals.
"Obviously, we're disappointed in the outcome of the game, but we made it to the championship in a good tournament," Brogan said. "It was only our third game, and we're going to get better."
The Mustangs led 27-9 at halftime.
