VALLEY HOME -- Fire crews rescued a man from a creek this morning after his sport utility vehicle overturned north of here.
The man was driving westbound on Highway 4 just east of Waverly Road about 10:30 a.m. when his sport utility vehicle left the shoulder and rolled into Duck Creek, said Interim Chief Rob Hoyer of the Oakdale Rural Fire Protection District.
Hoyer’s crews worked with Farmington Fire Protection District crews for half an hour to extract the driver, who was pinned between the dashboard and floor board, Hoyer said. The SUV was in water about a foot deep.
The man, who Hoyer said appeared to have a broken leg and other injuries, was flown to a hospital.
