Oakdale barn hosts artsy shows for the holidays

A folk art show and holiday gift sale will be held Nov. 27-29 at a barn in Oakdale.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bonsacks' barn, 13480 Orange Blossom Road.

The show will include homemade gift baskets, quilts, paintings, photography, handmade bags, embroidery, jewelry, wearable art and more.

Beyer High art students are painting an 8-by-8-foot piece of plywood in trompe l'oeil (optical illusion) style. The painting is meant to look like a quilt.
