Backstory: Shelly and Penny long have been playing in Modesto, with Shelly winning several country music awards with her band and Penny performing with several rock bands, and now jazz bands. They were singing together in The Kyle Barker Band when they came up with the idea of forming an all-girl group. Bruce Jones told them he had an opening for a band at the Doo-Wop Festival in Modesto four years ago and that was that. Shelly got her sister, Claudia, and Penny got her sister-in-law, Debbie, to join and they've been singing together since. This year they performed at the Sierra Hope Ride in Jamestown and Kiwanis Graffiti Car Show in Modesto.

Quote Me: "These girls are bodaciously endowed vocally, a blast to play for." — Dave Sousa
