What kind of show can you come up with if you only have 24 hours to write, direct it and rehearse? Find out by attending the performance concluding Inspiracy Arts' 24-Hour Playfest.

Five 10-minute plays will be presented starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the State Theatre, 1307 J St., Modesto. Short documentaries about the creative process will be shown at the program. The event is sponsored by Inspiracy Arts, Rio Arts and Cinema Rising: A Film Arts Collective. Some 32 people are participating, ages 16-50. Writers will work on their scripts from 8 tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday, when directors will start rehearsing their actors. This is the fourth 24-hour Playfest the group has done.

"We try not to limit the artists at all," said Shane Graff, Inspiracy Arts sponsorship chair. "We don't do censorship."

Tickets to the performance are $5-$7; inspiracyarts.org.
