Gallo gets 'Beanstalk'

California Theatre Center will present two performances of "Jack and the Beanstalk" Sunday at Modesto's Gallo Center for the Arts. Performances are at 2 and 4 p.m. at the Foster Theater. Featuring actors and puppets, the show centers on Jack's adventures as he acquires magic beans in trade for a cow and encounters a menacing giant. The show is designed for grades kindergarten through five. Tickets are $8-$15; 338-2100 or www.galloarts.org.
