SRT serves up 'Smokey'

Sierra Repertory Theatre is bringing back its No. 1 most requested show for an encore. "Smokey Joe's Café," a rock musical revue, runs June 26 through Aug. 16 at the company's East Sonora theater, 13891 Mono Way.

The show celebrates hit writing and producing team Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who wrote such hits as "Hound Dog," "Stand by Me," "On Broadway," "Love Potion No. 9," "Baby, This is Rock and Roll," "Spanish Harlem," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Kansas City."
