Pianist Jeffrey Siegel returns to the Gallo Center for the Arts to begin a new season of Keyboard Conversations. The kickoff is on the "Power & Passion of Beethoven." The program covers the woman behind "Für Elise" and the story behind the Moonlight and Farewell sonatas.

 2  Bayou sounds

Enjoy a lively night of Cajun and zydeco music with Creole Belles. The five-piece group plays a high-energy style of traditional Cajun music. Joining it for the performance is guest artist and Louisiana native Andrew Carriere (on rubboard, accordion and triangle). His father was Creole fiddler Bebe Carriere.

 5  Film fest

Enjoy the fourth annual MoFest!, PFLAG Modesto's annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender film festival. Short and feature films highlighting the GLBT community are screened in afternoon and evening sessions. The matinee session includes the feature "Tru Loved," about a teenage girl moving to a conservative suburb with her lesbian mothers, and the evening session culminates with the award-winning feature "Were the World Mine," a musical written and directed by Tom Gustafson.
