Foreclosure focus of workshop today

Homeowners at risk of foreclosure are encouraged to attend a free workshop from noon to 7:30 p.m. today in Stockton.

The U.S. Treasury Department and the Department of Housing and Urban Development organized the event. Homeowners will be able to meet face-to-face with mortgage companies and HUD-certified housing counselors to discuss possible solutions to allow them to stay in their homes.

Reservations are not necessary, but homeowners should bring their mortgage documents and financial records.

The workshop will be in the Hilton Stockton, 2323 Grand Canal Blvd., Stockton.
