REDWOOD CITY — A judge this morning delayed the penalty phase of Scott Peterson’s double-murder trial until Nov. 30. Judge Alfred Delucchi also denied motions by defense attorney Mark Geragos, who sought a new jury for the penalty phase and a change of venue.

The same jury who convicted Peterson of killing his wife, Laci, and unborn son will consider whether he should be sentenced to life in prison or death.
